Could this Smart Mask be a game-changer, as children return to the classroom?

Orlando Nex-Gen Smart Mask Wearable, Covid-19, Coronavirus, Champ Bailey, NFL

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED ON NEWSBREAK Slated to be the “World’s First Nex-Gen Technology Mask,” NFL Hall-of-Famer, Champ Bailey, has teamed up with Modern Radio, Inc. to launch an Indiegogo campaign for the scaled production of a new wearable that could have our kids back in the classroom much sooner than later. Using next-generation technologies, this smart mask would do more than stop airborne particles from infecting the student body. Once adopted, it would monitor the personal air quality and temperature of each student, tracking daily use and compliance across the greater K12 environment. Such data would aid teachers in maintaining a healthy space for our children to learn, as they return to brick-and-mortar classrooms across the country. Winning the 2020 Global Innovation Award at the ATP Cyber Health Tech Conference in August, Modern Radio has been actively working to test and develop the smart mask for optimal integration. The first concern was with safety. They wanted to be sure that the mask would work effectively with no adverse reactions that would otherwise contradict the purpose of being worn. We have heard so many horror stories about how masks worsened — and even created — long-term health conditions for people, who were […]

PUBLISHED ON MEDIUM According to recent market research by MarketsandMarkets, IoT Connectivity Markets are set to reach more than $8.9B by the year 2024. Currently valued at an estimated $3.8B in 2019, the company has forecasted an 18.7% compound rate of annual growth (CAGR) with major factors set to increase the demand for connected devices over time. North American markets will take the reins, accounting for a majority of growth through 2024. North America is said to account for the largest market size during the forecasted period of growth. This comes, as the United States continues to be the leader in innovation and digital transformation, placing a high priority on large-scale implementation and enterprise services. Artificial Intelligence (AT) and cloud computing are additional factors, attributing such growth, as they are intimately powered by “The Internet of Things.” The demand for wireless sensor networks, necessary in creating smart infrastructure, has so-far been a major player in the demand for low-power, wide-area (LPWA) networks in IoT applications. People like to control things in their homes. Even more so, they like controlling things at home, while not at home, and find convenience in doing so through the fast-action swipe of their smart phones. […]

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO TMCNET’S WEARABLE TECH NEWS While virtual reality has been available to consumers for more than 20 years, it doesn’t seem like it caught on too well until recently. Companies like Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR have made virtual reality more mainstream, and now everyone is trying to get some action. YouVisit, a company with the mission of showing you the world, has developed one of the world’s largest collections of interactive virtual reality content. In fact, they have made it possible for user-generated virtual reality experiences, giving individuals, educational institutions and business all over the world the opportunity to create their own virtual reality content. Providing what some are quoting to be the “industry’s highest resolution VR experience,” YouVisit has formulated an algorithm said to be viewed at almost five times the resolution of other standard virtual reality content. The visuals are said to be so realistic, that users almost forget that they never left their living room. YouVisit’s algorithm cuts down download times and allows each experience to be powered at a higher resolution but at a much lower bandwidth. This takes place by allowing the user experience to transform how the algorithm […]

At a time when technology pretty much runs our lives, we’ve found out what works and what doesn’t — quickly. Just like when it is freezing cold outside and you’re stuck shoveling snow, but you’re waiting for a very important phone call. It always happens to be on those days that we have the most important calls, doesn’t it? So, you’re outside shoveling snow. Your car needs to be unburied before you can do anything and, just then, your phone rings! Oh, silly you! You forgot; touch screens and cold do not mix. You can’t even feel your own fingers; how could your S6? Today, we have duraTOUCH shaking things up a bit. They’ve created touch and sensors that allow you to withstand any type of environment. PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO TALENT ZOO’S DIGITAL PIVOT In 2016, we will see a sharp influx in the production, delivery, and adoption of IoT technologies and wearables. Here, at Digital Pivot, we have disclosed quite a launches set for later this year. But just how rapidly are these technologies becoming part of our everyday lives? The NPD Group broke down dollar and unit sales for 2015, analyzing details related to the wearables industry, and came up with some pretty cool insights. In fact, it seems that we are starting to spend double that of the previous year just to have the top new wearables on the market. As wearables evolve, they are adopting the features we are disappointed our current version is missing. For this, we are okay with buying the product again — just because we need that upgrade. Spoiled, aren’t we? Not so much. It actually goes deeper than this. As innovation continues to build upon itself, we, as advanced users, seek sophistication in products that we use every day. While we aren’t necessarily looking for complexity, we do like to have a product at our fingertips that brings us little need for outside device utilization. We master products that we […]

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO TALENT ZOO’S DIGITAL PIVOT “I understand that maybe you can’t dedicate an hour a day to meditation. But if you can’t even take 20 minutes for yourself to meditate, you’re just letting your ego get in the way.” –Sabir Bey, Host of The Sabir Bey Show. Most people don’t understand the importance of meditation, especially its importance for clarity, rest, and keeping the mind agile. But meditation is extremely important, especially at a time when we overload our minds with digital insight and allow that same digital platform to continue “thinking” on our behalf. For this, two leaders in meditation technology have teamed up to launch “a national challenge to ease people into mindful living.” The companies also partnered with the Goldie Hawn Foundation to promote “mindful thinking” to children and educators. A headband created by Muse sets out to motivate people into adopting a better understanding of their minds during meditation. At the onset of 2016, millions of people have publicly set resolutions to lead healthier lifestyles, and a sound mind is one of the most important elements of the “get healthy” process. This nationwide initiative is leading a “1% Challenge that encourages people to dedicate at least […]

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO TALENT ZOO’S DIGITAL PIVOT It seems that 2016 will be far from a boring year. With so many IoT devices hitting the markets, many of us just won’t know how to act. For the photographer still in love with film, this message is especially for you! Set for release in August, we won’t even be able to look at photographs the same again…literally! Originally planning a 2015 release, LifePrint just didn’t “click” with audiences who didn’t quite “get” IoT technology and digital imagery – or what they could potentially bring. An August 2014 Kickstarter campaign proved unsuccessful. But, with the passion and persistence, LifePrint reemerges from the start-up lagoon with just two weeks left to a new campaign, sure to bring drastic change to our world immediately. Already exceeding funding goals by over 500%, this is definitely happening. At this stage, 785 backers now connect with their vision…a vision that will bring out your inner Joey Lawrence with a big “whoa!” Do you remember when you first heard about the 3D printer? Well, this is nothing like that. This is actually quite earth shattering because it will bring back the art of film and photography, shifting the plateau for […]

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO TMCNET’S NEXTGEN VOICE Faced with issues in connectivity, families are competing for signal strength in powering their personal and shared devices through Wi-Fi signals. Bell Labs (News – Alert) recently released a study, informing consumers that simplifying digital home networks will lead to easier connectivity and reduce the need for technical assistance or home service repairs. Now, all fingers are pointing to the service provider, who currently holds all the cards to innovation. In fact, skyrocketing service costs and rising monthly service fees are directly associated with complexity on consumer gateways. Instead, Bell Labs proposes that service providers can reduce operating costs by simply creating virtual gateways within a cloud and reduce operating costs by 40 percent. While residential gateways are critical to home networks and connecting consumers to the Internet, they are somewhat old-fashioned and can be streamlined into a simpler format. This format will alleviate network congestion and allow consumers to connect multiple devices at higher speeds than they have ever experienced in a home-based network. According to Alcatel-Lucent (News – Alert), “A virtualized residential gateway (vRGW) addresses this issue by moving functions like IP routing and Network Address Translation (NAT) into the cloud, along with centralized […]
